Key Features of Our Fiber Optic Training Program

Accreditation
In today's high tech world, certification is considered proof of professional status and is often required for jobs. We are an approved training centre for the Fiber Optic Association Inc. (FOA). This four (4) day Fiber Optic Technician course offered by us is designed to meet the requirements for FOA certification. Students will be eligible to write the FOA exam after completing the course. Successful students will receive the Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) accreditation. The FOA is an international educational organization that is dedicated to promoting professionalism in the field of fiber optics.

What is The Fiber Optic Association (FOA)?
The FOA is an international non-profit educational organization that is dedicated to promoting professionalism in the field of fiber optics. Founded in 1995 by a dozen prominent fiber optics trainers and industry personnel, it has grown to now being involved in: Administering technical certification programs, evaluating and approving training schools, developing courses and training programs, training instructors, participating in industry standards activities, publishing an online newsletter, promoting fiber optics applications and education. To date, the FOA has approved over 100 training programs, including technical high schools and colleges, professional training organizations and companies offering employee training programs. Also covered is the use of transceivers, switching gear, splice enclosure hardware, and procedures pertaining to installing and testing them.
