Key
Features of Our Fiber Optic Training Program
· Fiber optic installation, maintenance, design, optic system testing
and troubleshooting
· Courses taught by experienced technicians and academics who rotate between
classroom and field projects

Accreditation
In today's high tech world, certification is considered proof of professional
status and is often required for jobs. We are an approved training
centre for the Fiber Optic Association Inc. (FOA). This four (4) day
Fiber Optic
Technician course offered by us is designed to meet the requirements
for FOA certification. Students will be eligible to write the FOA exam
after
completing the course. Successful students will receive the Certified
Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) accreditation. The FOA is an international
educational
organization that is dedicated to promoting professionalism in the
field of fiber optics.

What
is The Fiber Optic Association (FOA)?
The FOA is an international non-profit educational organization that is
dedicated to promoting professionalism in the field of fiber optics. Founded
in 1995 by a dozen prominent fiber optics trainers and industry personnel,
it has grown to now being involved in: Administering technical certification
programs, evaluating and approving training schools, developing courses
and training programs, training instructors, participating in industry
standards activities, publishing an online newsletter, promoting fiber
optics applications and education. To date, the FOA has approved over 100
training programs, including technical high schools and colleges, professional
training organizations and companies offering employee training programs.
Almost 16,000 students have successfully completed requirements for the
FOA CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) certification. For more on

The course will cover extensively theorical and hands-on components with
emphasis on
• Fiber optic cables & Types
• Optical Networks Design
• Optical fiber installation
•
Splicing & Connectorization
•
Cable prep & Closure
• Attenuation
• Troubleshooting and acceptance testing
• Fiber Safety Rules
Also covered is the use of transceivers,
switching gear, splice enclosure hardware, and procedures
pertaining to installing
and testing them. By providing this certification we’re
enabling participants to obtain a very important qualification
that will undoubtedly open a number of doors in the structured
cable networking industry.
